Tourism development scheme:
The Wilaya of Mascara includes two areas classified as tourist expansion areas, namely Bouhanifia (428 hectares) and Al-Hammat (30 hectares and 12 acres) according to Executive Decree No. 16-308, which includes the definition, authorization and the classification of expansion areas and tourist sites. The process of preparing the basic works for the two areas has not been completed due to the non-completion of the study by the PAT tourism development planners for lack of a financial envelope to cover the expenses of the two studies.
Tourism projects:
The number of projects registered in the wilaya of Mascara is (20) projects with an estimated accommodation capacity of 1,818 beds and 534 potential jobs.
